I have to say things went well considering this was my first veggie patch in nine years and first in this home. The massive amounts of rain didn’t help and it still continues to fall, day after day after day. We are down to just the beans and the peppers. My real joy was getting the herb patch started and there is no doubt it flourished. I am looking forward to planning ahead for the next year. In fact, I am looking forward to planning in general, seizing the opportunity this week to put into place some short and long-term goals to get where I want to be.

Your herbs are beautiful! Did you grow a mix of kitchen and medicinal herbs or just kitchen? I so admire you, as herbs have been something I’ve been interested in growing for a long time, but I’ve never gotten around to fully committing. You are an inspiration, my friend!
They look delish.
Had good luck with herbs too… I like that you can dry them and bring them in during winter. My garden wil be on a much smaller scale next year.
Garden planning is one of my favorite things to do. Graph paper…colored pencils…garden catalogs….a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Now…if I could just get my real garden to look as good as it does on paper!
would love to hear about those other goals….
until then, I am going to enjoy these pictures : )
Such beautiful photos. Can’t wait to see where your plans take you!
I love the timeless feel of the images. I have had good luck with herbs this year too.
Looking forward to seeing what you harvest next year.
(I wrote you a comment yesterday…I guess it didn’t post?)
Nothing but nothing beats that homegrown pride!
Harvesting on any scale is a good thing!
You will share your other goals, won’t you?
Herbs are one of our most fav. things to grow. I love coming in with a basket full knowing that I didn’t have to buy them at the store.
you go girl! those herbs look very healthy!
