A Moment

Came home exhausted.  Work hours will be longer starting next week.

News of deaths today.

Seems no matter how much sleep I get, I’m still struggling the next night.

Girl’s energy was draining me.

Took the compost out.  Put the girls bikes away.

Sat on the front step at dusk and listened to the spring peepers peeping.  Heard and then watched two geese fly across the field.  Saw an occassional car go by.  Listened to the boc-boc-bock of the hens and the songs of the birds in the hedge in the yard.  Saw the three Clydesdales make their way back in for the night followed by two trotting donkeys, five trotting donkey steps to each huge horse hoof.

Visited with the peace of nature then went inside to face life again.
